TIPS FOR THE COLD WEATHER

We all know there is nothing as comforting as a hot bowl of soup on a cold winters day. Our Slimtone soup recipe is quick and easy to make a really popular with all our members. Simply prepare carrots, swede, onions, leeks, celery etc. and simmer with vegetable stock cube made up with water. When cooked I blitz half with a hand held blender and pop back into saucepan. For a tasty cream of vegetable soup. Put a tablespoon of extra light cream cheese in a dish. pour over a small portion of soup, stir well and pour back into saucepan. Stir well. Serve and enjoy garnished with parsley. A great starter to your meals or a warming snack. Have you any ideas for soup recipes? If so please share them with us.

  1. Hi there all slimtone members, this is my recipe for fat free breakfast muffins.

    BREAKFAST MUFFINS

    3 EGG WHITES
    1 CUP OF LIGHT SUGAR
    2 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
    2 CUPS GRATED CARROTS
    1 CUP GRATED APPLE
1 CUP DRIED FRUIT,( I USED CRANBERRIES and RAISINS.)
    1 TABLE SPOON vanilla ess
    1 TABLE SPOON CINNAMON
    1/2 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER

Whisk egg whites until fluffy add all other ingredients
    fold into egg mix.
Using a muffin tin line with paper cases, fill each case just over half full, this should make 15 cakes. at just over 100 cals each. Or if you use the small paper cases they work out at 50 cals each. hope you enjoy.

    • Hi Julie

This recipe sounds really good and if they taste like the scones you brought in for sampling at Maesteg class everyone should get cooking.

Thanks for sharing this with us.
