Looking for a quick family meal while watching the song contest this evening. The Slimtone spagetti bolognese is a firm favourite with all our members and is quick and inexpensibe to prepare.
The following recipe is for two servings at approx 400 calories per serving.
Brown 224g/8ozs extra lean mince in a non stick pan and drain off all the fat. Slice 56g/2ozs mushrooms, dice one small carrot and add to the meat with a can of chopped tomatoes and a tablespoon tomato puree. Season lightly with salt and black pepper. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Cook 112g/4ozs dry weight wholemeal spaghetti until just tender and top with the sauce. Serve with parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley. We had a really “special” visit to Champneys this weekend . Two coaches of members and friends had an excellent weekend. The champagne reception to celebrate our 100th visit was also really special together with the fabulous gifts myself and all the other guests received. We have limited vacancies in October for the weekend and day visit. Unfortunately the November weekend is fully booked. I have just organised the visit for 4th – 6th May 2012 and suggest if anyone wants to reserve a place I would do so as soon as possible. Hope you like the photographs
