Count Down to Christmas

Just to let you all know we have started our Count Down to Christmas programme in all the Slimtone classes.
Members are looking forward to lots of new recipes and ideas and how to cope with all those parties, buffets etc and still look good on Christmas Day. For every pounds lost members will have a bauble on their Christmas Tree and everyone is motivated to seeing a stone melt away in the next 12 weeks. If you are sitting home feeling uncomfortable because your waistband has shrunk now is the time to join in the fun. Get a taste of Technology

We have a Healthy Living event at our Friday morning class 23rd September in Llys Faen Communal Hall, Quarella Rd. from 10.00am – 12.00noon.  We have experts showing the benefits of technology – demonstrating the wii fit and lots more. From 12.00noon – 2.00pm they will be available to answer any questions you or your family may have on the computer, mobile phone or digital camera. Would really like to see you and I can promise you a warm welcome from Claire the Project Manager and the team from ageUK.

Well Done Victoria

There was lots of excitment at our Sainsburys class on Tuesday when Victoria achieved her seven stone weight loss. Everyone agreed she is looking really fab and we can’t wait to see the photos of her works part on Saturday. I know she will be sharing them with us. Well done you have done us all proud and are a tremendous inspiration to the class.

Well Done James

Congratulations to James who is a member of our Slimtone class at Blaengarw Rugby Club and recently achieved his target weight, losing over 19 pounds in only 9 weeks. Also, having the grades in his exams to start college this month. James’s favourite recipe was Savoury Chicken created by his Dad. Spray a chicken breast with one calorie cooking spray and crumble over a chicken stock cube. Pop onto the health grill until brown and crispy. Serve with lots of stir fried vegetabes. Thanks for this recipe James and you are proof that it really does make a healthy low fat meal.
We meet every week in the Garw valley on a Wednesday evening at Blaengarw RFC AT 6.00am and Dan y Mynydd Friday morning from 9.15am to 11.00am.
