Looking for quick and easy hot snacks to prepare for your bonfire celebrations. Two of the ideas we gave in Slimtone classes this week will go down a treat. Cut into chunks some grilled sausages, add to a large can of baked beans, sitr in brown sauce and serve over hot jacket potatoes. Another favourite is stir fry lots of vegetables with sliced chicken. Warm bread wraps and fill with with stir fry and season with sweet chilli or plum sauce. Serve with Butternut Squash and red pepper soup and you will certainly make everyone’s celebrations go with a bang.
Best of luck to Chris Dyke one of our successful Slimtone members at our Sainsburys class who is taking part in the New York Marathon this weekend. Every year since losing his brother Daryl to Encephalities at just 23 years of age he has been undertaking seemingly impossible challenges to raise money for charities in Daryl’s name. This year the chosen charity is Get Kids Going giving young and disabled children opportunities they would not have normally had. Chris has chose this special charity as it brings together two of Darryl’s passions – Children and Sport. Chris has alread completed the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 16th and all the Slimtone members will be thinking of him on Sunday. I would like to thank them all for their generosity in raising over three hundred pounds in class and the ladies who visited Champneys last weekend
