gateau will be a real treat. Once again do enjoy your break but do remember as we said in our Slimtone classes this week “chocolate makes your clother shrink”!!!!!
As all our classes are in the area having the worst of the snow and Winter weather. Thought you would like to have a fab recipe for a low fat Steam Pudding. Simply beat 2 eggs with 56g/2ozs caster sugar until mixture is thick, Add 56g/2ozs s.r. flour. Mist a pint basin with low cal spray and pop in 2 tablespoon low sugar jam. Pour in mixture and cover loosely with cling film piercing before microwaving on high for approx 3 mins. Great for all the family or can be made into individual portions with 1oz flour, sugar and 1 egg. At only 150 calories per portion will make a delicious comfort food on a Winters day. Make up some custard with skimmed milk and sugar free sweetener for an extra treat. Keep safe and warm and look forward to having your new Quick and Easy plan when we get back to our Slimtone class.
Congratulations to James who is a member of our Slimtone class at Blaengarw Rugby Club and recently achieved his target weight, losing over 19 pounds in only 9 weeks. Also, having the grades in his exams to start college this month. James’s favourite recipe was Savoury Chicken created by his Dad. Spray a chicken breast with one calorie cooking spray and crumble over a chicken stock cube. Pop onto the health grill until brown and crispy. Serve with lots of stir fried vegetabes. Thanks for this recipe James and you are proof that it really does make a healthy low fat meal.

If you are looking for a healthy eating recipe to celebrate the Chinese New Year Slimtone has the answer. Our recipe for Chicken & Mushroom curry is a firm favourite with our member. You can find this on our current recipes on our home page. Also, if you are looking to celebrate but do not have a lot of time for preparation after work. Simply pop into the local supermarket and pick up a cooked chicken and a jar of their own brand curry sauce. Chop up the chicken, pour over curry and enjoy. My favourite is the Sainsburys basic curry sauce it’s low in fat and calories and is really delicious. At only 9p per jar an inexpensive meal.
